Born in Bucharest, Robert Roth grew up bilingually in the culturally German-influenced region of Transylvania and is now based in Nuremberg, Germany. Since 2023, he has worked independently as a translator, editor, and proofreader. Under the name Raven Cat Games, he brings English-language tabletop RPGs, board games, digital games, and fantastic literature into German. His work focuses on projects where atmosphere, clear rules, and consistent terminology need to work as one. Robert studied in Eichstätt, Erlangen, Vienna, and Munich, earning one bachelor's and two master's degrees, including an MA in Literary Translation from LMU Munich. He has a particular professional and personal affinity for horror, dark fantasy, weird fiction, and cosmic dread. As a long-time player and game master, he understands role-playing worlds from both a linguistic and practical perspective. Robert is a member of the German Lovecraft Society.
